Grease Monkey Joins JJ’s Car Wash In Giveback To FISD Education Foundation

Whether you are looking for a car wash or an oil change, you can pamper your vehicle and support the Friendswood ISD Education Foundation (FEF) at the same time at Grease Monkey & JJ’s Car Wash.

When JJ Stanford, owner of JJ’s Car Wash, started the business, he wanted to develop a mechanism to support FEF’s mission of providing innovative and engaging learning opportunities for all students in FISD. That is how the Giveback Days were born.

Giveback Days included a donation of $1 to FEF from all washes on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the 2221 W Parkwood Ave location.

“As Friendswood residents and parents, we have been amazed at the commitment the Foundation, teachers, and staff provide to the students of FISD,” Stanford said. “We have been blessed to employ many FHS students and it is obvious that the education and life lessons they are receiving in FISD are simply second to none.”

Stanford’s generosity inspired Waylon and Kandis Skrobarczyk, owners of Grease Monkey that recently opened right next door at 2205 W. Parkwood Ave. The Skrobarczyks decided to match his support by donating $1 from all transactions at Grease Monkey on the first and third Tuesday of each month to FEF.

“When we opened, the decision to support FISD was a no-brainer,” Waylon Skrobarczyk said. “We are committed to investing in the next generation and grateful to partner with FEF in providing the very best for the students and teachers of Friendswood ISD.”

Grease Monkey is known for outstanding amenities and exceptional service when it comes to meeting your vehicles’ bumper-to-bumper maintenance needs. Services include 16-point oil changes, diesel services, manufacturers maintenance, state inspections and more.

“These partnerships represent what the Foundation is all about, cultivating a strong connection between the students and teachers of FISD and the Friendswood community,” FEF Executive Director Ashley Adair said.

Not only do giveback campaigns allow the community to support local businesses, but Skrobarczyk and Stanford said they believe the best part is that givebacks allow them to support the community that has supported them since day one.
