The Friendswood ISD Education Foundation (FEF) launches its annual Adopt-A-Grant campaign on Dec.3, aligning with the global Giving Tuesday movement! This initiative invites the community to support innovative educational projects and programs that directly benefit Friendswood Independent School District (FISD) students and teachers. Grants will be available for adoption online until March 14, 2025.
The Adopt-A-Grant campaign allows donors to browse and fund specific teacher-requested grants that enhance classroom experiences. These grants range from hands-on STEM projects to creative arts initiatives and cutting-edge technology tools designed to inspire learning and engage students.
Last year, the campaign raised over $500,000, funding 675 impactful grants. FEF hopes to surpass that success this year, ensuring even more teachers and students have access to the resources they need to excel.
Community members can participate by visiting fef.myfisd.com/grants to explore grant proposals and select which ones to support. There is also the opportunity to make a dedicated gift towards grants at a specific campus by donating to the campus grant treasure chests. Regardless of size, every contribution brings FISD one step closer to creating a world-class learning environment.
Grants are a thoughtful gift for teachers and also serve as a year-end tax-deductible donation. After the campaign concludes, the Foundation will review any unfunded grants and allocate proceeds from its annual events to support as many remaining projects as possible. For questions or additional information, please contact FEF Executive Director Ashley Adair at AAdair@fisdk12.net or 281.996.6655.
FEF extends its gratitude to donors, partners, and advocates who make this campaign possible. Together, we can all empower educators and inspire students across FISD.
