The Friendswood ISD Education Foundation (FEF) hosted its annual New Employee Luncheon on Friday, August 2, at the Lone Star Flight Museum. This year's theme, "Welcome to Wonderland," set a whimsical and welcoming tone for the event, attended by approximately 280 people, including new employees, district leaders, and community members.
The luncheon featured engaging speakers Alexis Young and Laura Seifert, who shared inspiring messages with the new employees. Attendees enjoyed a delightful lunch, participated in door prize giveaways, and celebrated the awarding of grants to support educational initiatives within the district.
"We are thrilled to welcome our new employees to the Friendswood ISD family," Executive Director of the Friendswood ISD Education Foundation Ashley Adair said. "Their energy and enthusiasm are truly inspiring, and we are excited to see the positive impact they will have on our students and community."
Suzanne Banfield, one of the event chairs, expressed her gratitude, stating, "This event is a testament to the incredible support and commitment of our community. It was wonderful to see so many people come together to welcome and celebrate our new employees."
